A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Zelonish and our 8th grade teachers and students for helping make the Misfit Toy Project a beloved tradition, now in its 17th+ year! Our third graders create a misfit toy drawing and description, while the eighth graders write a story and design a larger drawing to depict the assigned partner toy. Then, the eighth graders visit Dixon to meet their third-grade partners and bring the creations to life, combining imagination, storytelling, and collaboration. This special project is a wonderful example of cross-grade mentorship and creativity, and we are so grateful to everyone who helps make it possible year after year!
