We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. CMS Reminder: This is a reminder that tomorrow is the tenth day of school. The start of the school year paperwork is due by tomorrow. Please make sure that emergency medical forms, acceptable use policies, etc., are turned in by tomorrow. CMS Reminders: Just a friendly reminder that school is not in session tomorrow (8/30) or Monday (9/2). District-Wide Pep Assembly permission forms are due back on Tuesday (9/3). The district-wide pep assembly is Friday (9/6) from 1:00 p.m. until dismissal. This day will also be Extreme Clipper Dress-Up Day for CMS. Face Paint or Extreme Clipper Makeup is permitted, provided it is done at home. CMS School Picture Day is Monday (9/9). If you have any questions, please give us a call. CMS: This Friday, Aug. 30th, the Clipper Varsity Football Team will take on McDonald at 7:00 pm at the newly renovated stadium in Firestone Park. Free game tickets are being offered to any CMS student who wishes to attend. You MUST get the free ticket at school during lunch tomorrow. No complimentary tickets will be given at the gate. CMS 5th Grade Students and Parents/Caregivers: Those interested in or who have signed up to participate in the 5th grade band are encouraged to attend the 5th Grade Band Information and Instrument Rental Meeting this evening. The meeting will be held tonight, August 27, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the High School Band Room. Please park behind the high school and enter through the Band Room Entrance. We hope to see you there!!

CMS: Columbiana Middle School Students received a District-Wide Pep Rally Permission Form this afternoon. The pep rally is scheduled for Friday, September 6th, at the Fisher Stadium at Firestone Park at 1:00 pm. CMS Reminder: This evening's 5th and 6th grade orientation events will be held in the CMS Cafeteria. The 6th grade orientation will begin at 4:00, and the 5th grade will begin at 5:30. We are aware of schedule conflicts. If you cannot attend during your child's time, please feel free to join us during one of the other sessions. Please park in the rear of the building and enter through the CMS cafeteria doors. Plan some extra time to find parking and receive paperwork packets, as we expect to start promptly at the scheduled time. CMS: If you have a child with special food requirements (allergies, diabetes, other medical conditions, etc.), please bring snacks, juices, supplies, and any documentation to the school between 8 am- 3 pm this week or during your child’s open house times. This would also be a great time to bring in medications (if any) needed during school hours. If your child will be taking any medication here at school, we must have paperwork filled out by a doctor and the parent. Please contact the office with any questions. It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of Coach Larry Baughman. Larry was more than just a coach and Assistant Athletic Director; he was a dedicated Clipper supporter whose passion and commitment have left an indelible mark on the community. Larry's contributions extended far beyond the field and gym. His guidance, mentorship and unwavering support for our students embodied the true spirit of the Clipper Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Larry's family during this difficult time. We will keep you informed about any memorial services or events to honor his memory. Please join us in remembering and celebrating Coach Larry Baughman, a true Clipper!!
