Heads Above the Rest

Congratulations to Columbiana County Educational Service Center's Heads Above the Rest award recipients, Brayden Clancy and Paxton Loosli! Brayden and Paxton were honored at a formal breakfast on April 29 at the Barn at Firestone Farms, along with other county students who scored 31 or higher on the ACT. In the fall, both boys will be attending The Ohio State University, with Brayden majoring in mechanical engineering and Paxton in aerospace engineering. Both Brayden and Paxton chose Miss Sant as their Star Educator. According to Brayden, "Miss Sant has been my AP Calculus teacher for three years. Throughout my time with her she has shown time and time again why she deserves this award. Her teaching style is so cohesive and is why so many students find success in her classroom. She's also very kind, acting as both academic and emotional support." In Paxton's words, "As I approach the end of my school career and reflect on what class has truly prepared me for my future, I think of my Calculus classes taught by Miss Sant. She has made the complex topics that are the foundations of my future area of study easy." Congratulations to Brayden, Paxton, and Miss Sant!
