Please be advised that the school district will observe a 3-hour early release on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
This adjusted schedule is necessary to allow our faculty and staff to complete mandatory Special Education professional development modules required by the State of Ohio. Investing this focused time in training ensures our educators remain up to date on state guidelines and continue providing high-quality, inclusive support for all students.
Schedule Details for October 22
Dismissal: All school buildings will dismiss 3 hours earlier than their standard dismissal times.
Transportation: Afternoon bus routes will run exactly 3 hours ahead of their normal schedules.
Lunch: Lunch will be served to students prior to early dismissal.
After-School Activities: All after school activities and/or parent teacher conferences will continue as planned.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as our staff completes these state-required professional training modules. Please make the necessary arrangements for your child’s early arrival home.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our district.
Sincerely,
Dr. Donald Mook
Superintendent of Schools.

Attention Clipper parents, students and staff: As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our students, staff, and families safe, we have installed two new speed bumps in the CHS drop-off and pick-up lane.
Please keep the following guidelines in mind starting this week:
Reduce Speed: Approach the drop-off and pick-up zone slowly and navigate over the new speed bumps with care.
Stay Alert: Watch for pedestrians, sudden stops, and school staff directing traffic.
Keep Traffic Moving: Pull all the way forward along the curb before allowing your student to enter or exit the vehicle safely.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience as everyone adjusts to these changes. Thank you for doing your part to ensure our campus remains a safe environment for all our students.

Sidewalk Construction is taking place this week around CHS. The parent drop off will be unavailable the next few days.
Mornings: Parents will drop off in the same line for Middle School and High School, but will drop off between the High School GYM and the Maintenance room -- Picture attached.
Afternoons: High School Students will be dismissed after school out through the gym doors. Middle School Students will be dismissed through the cafeteria doors.
Bus Riders: Will exit as usual, however they will need to use the paved parking lot to walk to busses. The busses will be moved away from the sidewalks to permit safe passage to the appropriate bus.
School personnel and our resource officers will be present to assist with the temporary inconvenience.
Thank you for your patience as we improve our facilities.
Don Mook

To help keep our students, families, and staff safe and to make morning arrival as smooth as possible, we are updating our morning drop-off procedures beginning Tuesday, August 25.
Morning Drop-Off
• All CMS and CHS students will be dropped off at the rear of the high school near the band doors.
• All CMS/CHS students will enter the building through the CHS Band Entrance and will be directed once they enter the building.
• The CHS Band Entrance will be open from 7:00–7:30 a.m. Doors will be locked after 7:30am.
• Students arriving after the 7:30 a.m. tardy bell must report to their respective building office to sign in through the front doors of their building.
Please take a moment to review the updated traffic pattern and mock-up of the drop-off line before Tuesday morning. Following the designated traffic flow and drop-off procedures will help us keep traffic moving efficiently and ensure a safe arrival for everyone.
We understand that changes to morning routines take time to adjust to, and we truly appreciate your patience, flexibility, and partnership as we work together to provide a safe start to each school day.
Have a great weekend and Go Clips!
