Two CHS Students Heading to Buckeye Girls State

Two CHS juniors are heading to attend the American Legion Auxiliary Buckeye Girls State at the University of Mount Union: Emily Scott and Samantha Bucholtz.
According to Buckeye Girls State, "The American Legion Auxiliary's marquee Girls State program first presented in 1947, is one of the most respected and coveted experiential learning programs presented in the United States."

"Girls State focuses on training young women who have finished their junior year of high school, in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship by providing each with the opportunity to actively participate in a democratic form of government," said Buckeye Girls State.
