Mrs. Zelonish Awarded Key Clipper Award

Mrs. Zelonish is a fantastic example of a staff member who consistently goes above and beyond, doing whatever is needed in order to make sure things run smoothly and to provide students with amazing opportunities.  A staff member being assigned to multiple buildings can be a challenge.  However, Mrs. Z. takes advantage of such a situation and ensures that students K-8 are provided quality visual art opportunities wherever possible.

Simply put, Mrs. Zelonish consistently offers her time and expertise!  From painting faces at every Spring Fling event for as long as we can remember to coordinating multi-building efforts such as Christmas parade floats, street plow painting contests and county art fairs.

Mrs. Z. has also taken advantage of working with the career center to provide students 3-D design and printing experiences at both the elementary and middle school.

Holly collaborates with her colleagues in order to provide amazing opportunities for our students.  The most recent example of this, would be the misfit toy project.  Holly has worked with Mrs. Silver on this project for a decade!  This is a project where 3rd grade students create a toy and 8th graders write a story bringing the toy to life.  A day is selected and we transport 8th graders to the elementary school to pair up with their 3rd grade student to read them their story.  These experiences do not happen without teachers like Mrs. Zelonish.

Mrs. Zelonish is truly deserving for consistently going above and beyond in all she does as a Key Clipper!
