Third grade students wearing crazy socks for Red Ribbon Week

Joshua Dixon Elementary is participating in Red Ribbon Week, a week dedicated to talking to kids about drug prevention, and making healthy choices.

The district’s School Resource Officer, Sgt. Boley, is also teaching D.A.R.E. lessons to elementary students. Students are also encouraged to take a visible stand against drugs, by taking part in daily themes, such as “I’m a Jean-ius-I’m Drug Free,”  Blue Jean Day and “Drugs Stink,” Crazy Sock Day.
