ClipperNet Offers Especially for Parents Link

In an effort to make information more easily accessible to parents, we have added an "Especially for Parents" section. This can be found under the Additional Links section of ClipperNet. This webpage contains information such as handbooks, calendars, directories, and newsletters. It also contains commonly needed forms such as Student Handbook, Acceptable Use Policy, and Emergency Medical Forms. We plan on adding to this page when possible to provide our parents with the most current forms, information, and links necessary. Parents with requests for additional information for this webpage can e-mail our Coordinator of Technology/Student and Staff Services at jason.martin@columbianaschools.org.

CHS Web Development Students Present Their Work
To Joshua Dixon Students

Mr. Martin's CHS Web Development students have been working very hard to complete a 2-D vector-based animation project. On May 4, 2010, these students presented their project to fifteen classes at Joshua Dixon.

Our elementary students were then given the opportunity to ask questions about the creation of Corduroy, the high school, reading, technology, and animation.

As promised to our Joshua Dixon students, the picture below will take you to the project. Special thanks to Kyle Spickler, Kelli Byran, Alexis Gaydos, Nicole Ray, and Leah Cyrus for their hard work and dedication.

Columbiana High School Awarded the
Blue Ribbon School of Distinction

Mr. Cappuzzello

Mr. Cappuzzello, Blue Ribbon High School Principal

The Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools that are either academically superior or that demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievement to high levels. In addition to being honored at a ceremony in Washington, DC, where each school receives a plaque and flag signifying their status, our school will serve as a model for other schools throughout the nation.

Columbiana High School was in the top 10% of the state of Ohio and the staff and community should be very proud of this recognition.
